Updated: Police concentration, Sunday, in West Columbia
Units from the West Columbia Police Department, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department (including a Crime Scene truck) and the SC Highway Patrol, were on Wade Street Sunday night. There was also a car in the middle of Wade Street near the incident.
Capt. Adam Myrick – public information officer for the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department said:
“We’re still looking into it, but based on what we’ve discovered so far, shots were fired after an argument between a man and a woman.
Nobody was struck or injured. Detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.”

Police Department said West Columbia units were working a traffic accident portion of the incident. The rest of the call was being worked by the sheriff’s department.
There were shots fired – in connection to the incident- and a car wreck occurred, but no more details are available at this time. Updates will be added when received.
