The Lexington Police Department is asking motorists to please be patient and use caution Friday afternoon.

There is a gas leak in the 5100 block in front of Target. Eastbound traffic is being diverted from Sunset to Mineral Springs. Westbound traffic is being diverted from Sunset to Corley Mill Road. No traffic is allowed on Sunset Boulevard between these two roads. You will be turned around. 

Sunset Boulevard continues to be closed between Mineral Springs Road and Corley Mill Road. Dominion Energy is on scene and continues to work hard repairing the natural gas line.
