SCDOT Closes Corley Mill Road – Updated at 10:25 p.m., Thursday :

​SCDOT has closed Corley Mill Road in Lexington County on Thursday, Nov. 18, due to a possible breach in a low hazard dam.

Officials from the Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) have requested the dam closure until a thorough daylight inspection can be conducted on Friday.

The dam poses no threat to the area except for the flooding of Corley Mill Road.

Corley Mill Road is a commuter route that also includes traffic leading to and from River Bluff High School.

 Note:

River Bluff High School is accessible from US 378.

Detour is in place now.  SCHP Troopers will assist in the morning.

Only a segment is closed.  The closure is from Millstream Road to the lower/bus entrance of River Bluff High School.  None of the school entrances are blocked by the closure.
