Tuesday’s West Columbia City Council meeting is cancelled, parks closed, sanitation routes altered
Tuesday’s West Columbia City Council meeting is cancelled. Severe weather is forecast for Lexington County Tuesday into the evening.
Also: Due to the threat of inclement weather, including high winds and loose debris, the City of West Columbia will implement the following closures:
Parks – All parks will be closed beginning Monday, January 8, 2024, at dusk, until further notice, including:
- B Avenue Ball Park
- Bark West Dog Park
- Carraway Park at the Riverwalk
- Douglas Reeves Community Park
- Fowler Community Park
- Howard Sports Complex
- Rosamunda Percell-Butler Community Park
- West Columbia Riverwalk Park and Amphitheater
- Moffatt Street Entrance to the Riverwalk
Sanitation
Please secure your roll carts. To keep storm drains clear and prevent flooding, please do not place any yard trash by the curb until after the storm. All Tuesday routes have been moved to Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
