True BBQ to reopen Friday after being closed since October
West Columbia’s True BBQ, 1237 D Ave., is scheduled to reopen Friday (June 24) after being closed for eight months. Hours will be 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The restaurant will offer take-out only, with no dining in.
Menu includes: chopped barbeque; the Big Z and Little Z; hot dogs with chili. Sides will be sold in half-pint, pints and quarts. There will be hash and rice sold in pints and quarts and a Big Z Combo Platter.
Sides of potato salad; mac and cheese; baked beans and string beans will also be available.
Milton explained that True BBQ closed in October after the unexpected death of his brother-in-law Bryan C. Williams. In November the family was involved in an auto accident coming back from Disney in Florida. Milton said his wife, Harriet, had health issues in December. He said he put God first and focused on his family.
Milton also said True BBQ is ow taking pre-orders for the Fourth of July, but the restaurant will not open July 4th and the week after.
