Trinity Baptist Church to hold one service Sunday, after fire damages church

Trinity Baptist Church at 2003 Charleston Highway, Cayce will hold one service Sunday (Feb 27.)

Sunday’s service will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Solomon’s Porch section of the church.

The church also announced, via Facebook, that there will be no small groups or childcare, and there will be no evening activities.

On Thursday at 1:44 a.m., the Cayce Fire Department responded to Trinity Baptist Church for a reported structure Fire, according to a release from the City of Cayce. Upon the arrival of fire units, smoke was seen coming from the building. Firefighters made entry in the building and were able to contain and extinguish the fire.

Thursday afternoon cones blocked entry into the church and clean-up crews were on site, removing charred insulation.

A hallway leading into the church was where the fire was. Smoke did blanket other parts of the church.
