The Town of Lexington’s emergency ordinance requiring masks in-public has expired.

Instead of extending the mask ordinance at its last meeting, Lexington Town Council did not address the issue. Lexington Town Council meets in person, and Lexington One school have been implementing in-person classes since October.

The death rate attributed to COVID-19 has dropped drastically in Lexington County, while reports of the number of cases fluctuates.
