Emergency Management officials have confirmed a tornado touched down near Old Orangeburg Rd. and Platt Springs Rd. in Lexington County, Wednesday. Officials also received reports of downed trees and powerlines and flooding across Lexington County.

The Lexington County Emergency Management Office is working on preliminary damage assessment from Wednesday’s severe weather. At this time, no significant damage has been seen or reported.
