A time capsule was opened at the West Columbia City Hall, Wednesday. The 20-year-old time capsule was placed at City Hall by the Cayce West-Columbia Rotary Club, and the West Metro Rotary Club.
West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles, Elizabeth Gressette and Tom Ledbetter spoke at the event. Elizabeth is with the Cayce West-Columbia Rotary Club and Tom is with the West Metro Rotary Club spoke at the event.
The time capsule contained an organizational charts from the West Columbia Fire and Cayce Police Deaprtments, cloth patches from the Cayce and West Columbia Police Department, and documents from both Rotary Clubs represented.
