Tim James announces he’s running to stay on Cayce City Council
In a Facebook post, Tim James has announced he will seek another term on Cayce City Council. He is currently the Dist. 1 representative. Cayce’s municipal election is scheduled for November.
His current term expires in November. He was elected to Cayce City Council in September of 2020. James won the seat by one vote (180-to-179) over Tiffany Aull in a special election to serve out the unexpired term of Tara Almond.
James wrote in his Facebook post: “Over the last 11 months I have had the honor of serving the Citizens of Cayce by completing an unexpired term,- now I am excited to announce my candidacy for a full term of four years.”
James is the President and CEO of the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce. He previously served on the Cayce City Council. He left in 2015 to take a position in Florida.
