There will be a Lexington County Peach Festival on July 4, thanks to new volunteers
The Board of Directors that plans the Lexington County Peach Festival has announced it will take place this summer, after initially announcing it would be cancelled. Below is the Board’s statement.
There aren’t many things that define a community the way the Lexington County Peach Festival does for us.

When the decision was made to cancel earlier this month, it broke our hearts. The decision reflected a clear and realistic evaluation of where we stood at the time, planning challenges and uncertainties outside our control made it feel like we couldn’t move forward in a way that honored what this festival deserves.
Here’s the truth:
This festival isn’t just an event on a calendar to us. It’s part of who we are.
It’s 9 months of planning and countless late nights.
It’s 16+ hour days.
It’s generations working side-by-side and a tradition of serving our great community.
It’s the pride of seeing our local businesses, volunteers, friends, and families gathered in one place.
It’s heritage. It’s memories. It’s home.
Because of the community’s response, new volunteers stepping forward, sponsors leaning in, leaders offering support, we are beyond proud to announce:
The Lexington County Peach Festival is back on for Saturday, July 4, 2026.
We don’t take this lightly. We’re moving forward because this festival is deeply important to us; it’s deeply important to you, our friends, neighbors and community.
Thank you for believing in it. Thank you for standing up with us. Thank you for loving this tradition as much as we do.
We cannot wait to celebrate with you again.
