The Tartan Day South festival is back, with the first event on Thursday April 3. Tartan Day South events run from Thursday until Sunday, with the big day of festivities being Saturday at Cayce’s Historic Columbia Speedway. A traditional Kirkin’ of the Tartans celebration is at the City of West Columbia, SC Riverwalk Amphitheatre, Sunday. (Click here for Tickets)

The Tartan Day South festival is a multi-day, family-friendly event in celebration of Celtic culture, heritage, and traditions. There truly is something for everyone — check out our lineup of events:
Thursday, April 3 (free): We kick off the festival at Steel Hands Brewing with an evening of music by The Crossjacks.
Friday, April 4: An evening of Celtic concerts at Icehouse Amphitheater featuring bands Eireann’s Call, Tuatha Dea, and Syr.
Saturday, April 5: The main event day – Celtic Festival and Highland Games at the Historic Columbia Speedway. A full day of traditional music, dancing, athletics, food & drinks, exhibitions, history presentations, and more.
Saturday, April 5 (free): Stay after the event ends for a campfire + drum circle at the Historic Columbia Speedway campgrounds.
Sunday, April 6 (free): A traditional Kirkin’ of the Tartans celebration at the City of West Columbia, SC Riverwalk Amphitheatre featuring a public parade of the clans to the sound of the bagpipe.
