The snow that wasn’t in Cayce and West Columbia

Teased, like so many times before, the promise of snow accumulation in Lexington County has melted into rain and cold.

The possibility for an inch or so of snow in the county no longer exists – as of Saturday morning- according to the National Weather Service. That means kids who went to bed Friday night- hoping to see some flakes when they woke up will be – like so many in the South before – disappointed.

There could be some flakes falling, but it will be a little. Fairfield and Newberry counties could get an inch or two.  With the Upstate getting more. Click on photos to enlarge:
