Saluda County Coroner Angie Rita identified two men who were shot and killed in Batesburg-Leesville early Sunday morning. The two killed were 39-year-old Ronald Cleveland Brown III and 34-year-old Devante O. Elliott, both of Batesburg-Leesville.

A third person was taken to the hospital by EMS with injuries, but police said the injuries were not likely life-threatening.

A homicide investigation is now underway, and law enforcement personnel are processing evidence, interviewing witnesses and following leads, police said. The department urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Tips can be submitted anonymously.
