Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identified the individual who died in a
moped accident in the 100 block of Windsor Park Drive in the Lexington area of Lexington
County shortly before 8:30 P.M. on May 13, 2023.
According to Fisher, Mr. Roan Aiden Palmer, 17, of Lexington was driving the
moped on Windsor Park Drive when he lost control of the moped and hit a tree. Mr. Palmer,
who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the
scene due to the injuries sustained in the collision.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office continue to
investigate the incident.
