Overnight storms topple trees in Lexington

Trees fell in the road Monday morning in Lexington because of heavy winds from an overnight storm that blew through Lexington County. This photo is from the Town of Lexington Parks Department responding to downed trees. Crews removed several trees and other debris to get several streets open.

Crash slows traffic in Lexington Thursday afternoon

The Lexington Police Department reported a collision at East Main Street (US-1) at Swartz Road. The collision affected lanes around 3 p.m., Thursday. Emergency personnel crews were on scene and directing traffic.

The County of Lexington Veterans Parade was held Sunday down Main Street, Lexington. Crowds enjoyed marching bands and veterans organization on a beautiful sunny, afternoon.
