A collision was blocking the outer inbound lane of Sunset Boulevard at Mineral Springs Road in Lexington around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Emergency personnel were on the scene attending to the incident.

Units from the West Columbia Fire Department were on the scene of an accident in the 3000 block of Sunset Blvd near Lexington Medical Center, Thursday afternoon, around 4. All inbound and outbound lanes were shut down for an extended period of time. The site was cleared Thursday afternoon, and all lanes were reopened.
Beginning on Monday (July 29) the SCDOT will close Whippoorwill Drive at Sunset Boulevard (US 378) in West Columbia for pavement repairs. Whippoorwill is where the turn-in to Rush’s is.
