Sunset Boulevard
A vehicle crash on Sunset Blvd (US-378) near I-20 in Lexington resulted in an outbound and inbound lane closing around 12:50 p.m. on Friday, according to Lexington Police. The collision was caused by a driver who failed to yield the right of way while turning onto Sunset Blvd. from a business parking lot. (LPD photo)
Lexington Police responded to a collision in the 5000 block of Sunset Boulevard, Thursday. Emergency personnel was on the scene. It was a two-vehicle collision resulting in an overturned vehicle and the closing of an inbound lane while the site was cleared.
Units from the West Columbia Police Department were on the scene of a crash, Tuesday, just before 4 pm. The crash occurred at the intersection of Hook Avenue and Sunset Boulevard (US 378.) The front end of one of the vehicles involved in the collision was in a ditch.
Lexington County Council voted, Tuesday, not to implement a proposed $30 vehicle registration fee. The money generated from the fee would have been used for road improvements. A collision was blocking the outer inbound lane of Sunset Boulevard at Mineral Springs Road in Lexington around 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Emergency personnel were on the scene attending to the incident.
