The Lexington Police Department issued a Traffic Alert Wednesday afternoon. There was a collision in the 4700 block of Sunset Blvd (US-378) and all outbound lanes were closed. Drivers were asked to take an alternate route.
The entire intersection of North Lake Drive and Sunset Boulevard in Lexington was shut down, Sunday night. Lexington Police asked drivers to please take an alternate route if you were travelling through that portion of town. Units from the West Columbia Fire Department, and the West Columbia Police Department, responded to a fire at the McDonalds on Sunset Boulevard in West Columbia, Saturday evening. Personnel from the WCFD were on the scene before 7 p.m. Saturday. There was smoke in the air and the fire was completely extinguished 7:15 p.m.

Lexington Police asked drivers to please use caution traveling on Sunset Boulevard at Whiteford Way, Thursday afternoon. A collision resulted in the inbound lanes of Sunset Blvd being reduced to one lane. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and eventually cleared the scene LPD photo .
