The Lexington Police Department issued a “Traffic Alert” Wednesday afternoon because two “Wide-Load” semi-trucks and trailers needed to be rerouted back to the interstate. All traffic in downtown Lexington was stopped while the trucks came through town.Police thanked everyone for their patience and officers quickly worked to reopen downtown. (LPD photos)

The Lexington Police Department reported a crash with injuries, Tuesday morning. The collision was at West Main Street at Park Road. At about 8:15 a.m. all inbound lanes were reported as being blocked. Police, Fire and EMS units were on the scene. Police asked drivers to seek an alternate route until the road was reopened. […]
