Trees fell in the road Monday morning in Lexington because of heavy winds from an overnight storm that blew through Lexington County. This photo is from the Town of Lexington Parks Department responding to downed trees. Crews removed several trees and other debris to get several streets open.

The Lexington Police Department reported a spill in the road on Sunset Boulevard (US-378) between Palmetto Park Boulevard. and Mineral Springs Road, had an outbound lane closed. If passing through the area, be watchful for the lane closure and vehicles merging around the spill area.
