West Columbia City Council approved the city’s Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget, Monday, at a Special meeting.The $26.3 million budget does not include a tax hike, and includes a slight reduction in property taxes, West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles said before the budget passed with a unanimous vote.
The West Columbia Meeting Street Artisan Market is open for business Thursday. The market is held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. every Thursday (except July 3) from June-through-August. The City of West Columbia is making an estimated $15 million investment in the New Brookland Mill Village area. Upgrades include water, stormwater, and roadway improvements.
