Sun shines down on Cayce’s Soiree on State – See the photos

It was a sun-splashed day, with above average spring temperatures as Cayce’s Soiree on State commenced, Saturday.
Music filled the air, vendors sold their wares, and NPOs told what they do. Kids had their own zone to play in and the smell from the food truck grills made your stomach growl. There was even a pottery wheel throw-down. That was the scene as masses came out to bask in the warmth.
“We are thrilled to see so many people come and enjoy the beautiful weather, live music, local art and amazing local vendors,” said Cayce Mayor Elise Partin. “And a special thank you to our staff for all of their hard work.”
Cayce City Manager Mike Conley was grateful.
“It was another great event in our Cayce River Arts District,” he said. “Thank you to our sponsors, staff and all that help to make the Soiree on State an award-winning event.”
Mayor Partin, and all of Cayce City Council were in attendance for Soiree on State: Tiffany Aull, Byron Thomas, Alice Rose and Phil Carter were there. Thomas deferred to Partin.
“I give the mayor a lot of the credit for the success of Soiree on State,” Thomas said. “She’s much of the reason for it.”
Bands included Prettier Than Matt, Whiskey Run, and the Headliner, Cash Money Experience, closed out the evening as live music lovers lounged in chairs in the middle of State Street.
Soiree on State is presented through a partnership between the City of Cayce and the Avenues Neighborhood Association.
