Officers with the Cayce Police Department were alerted that a student at Airport High School was suspected of selling narcotics, according to Ashley Hunter, City of Cayce Public Information Officer. The School Resource Officer and Cayce Police conducted a search of the student’s car and belongings.

The search resulted in officers finding a loaded handgun, vape materials and other paraphernalia in the vehicle driven by the student.

Officers transported the student to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

This matter is under investigation by the Cayce Police Department.
