The Atlantic storm Isaias is forecast to become a hurricane prior to landfall, according to a 5 a.m. report from the National Weather Service in Columbia.

If Isaias strengthens to a Category 1 hurricane it will pack winds at 75 mph before hitting the SC/NC coast.

The storm is expected to impact Lexington County, Monday, with locally heavy rainfall capable of producing flash flooding. Isaias is also predicted to produce tropical storm force wind gusts in the easternmost areas of the Midlands.

We could get wind up-to 20 mph. Rainfall could be up to an inch.
