Storm damage has been reported in the following areas:

• – Tree on Amazon truck at Old Lexington Hwy. and Mallard Drive in the Chapin area. No injuries have been reported at this time.
• – Reports of a tornado sighting near Berl Mar Rd. near Irmo. Those sightings have NOT been confirmed at this time.
• – Power lines and trees down on Westridge Ct. in the Chapin area.
• – Trees down on Tanners Mill Way in the Chapin area.

The US National Weather Service Columbia South Carolina has said they will send a team to the Westridge Ct. area in Chapin and Berl Mar Rd. area near Irmo sometime tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan. 10) to survey the storm damage and determine whether or not a tornado was the cause.
