Storm blows through West Columbia Saturday evening causing damage

A storm blew through part of West Columbia Saturday evening and caused damage to some businesses. A tree was brought down by high winds on B Avenue, according to a report from West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles. The damage was done around 6:20 p.m. The power was out at River District restaurants, including D’s Wings.

Part of the roof at CPR Performance Parts, 1440 Charleston Hwy, West Columbia, was damaged and water got into the building.
The sign at Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, at 1309 Charleston Highway, West Columbia, was toppled. Photos below from CPR Performance Parts and Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church.
