The smell of smoking bar-b-que was in the air Friday afternoon in Springdale.

Children ran from truck to truck, and parents studied menus to see what looked best. It was perfect weather and a crowd that chatted, and visited with neighbors, before and after they grabbed a bite of a little something different.

Grilled foods, waffles, Italian ice, and of course bar-b-que were part of the party. Springdale plans to host the food trucks on a regular basis.

The crowds got bigger as the evening progressed. Springdale’s second Food Truck event Friday was a hit with residents.

The Springdale Food Truck rodeo lasted from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
