Springdale Police arrest second armed robbery suspect
Springdale Police Chief Kevin Cornett announced, Thursday, the arrest of the man involved in an armed robbery that took place on Sunday, August 14.
Springdale Police Department sent a press release out on August 22, asking for assistance from the community in identifying a man who had been involved in the armed robbery.
Several tips played a role in helping to identify the suspect. The man was identified as 18-year-old Jonathan Borrero. On the afternoon of August 25, Borrero was taken into custody. He has been charged with armed robbery, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
On the evening of August 14th two men used a firearm to rob an individual who was at the Carolina Lodge located at 2204 Airport Blvd. Both men then left the area.
On Thursday night, August 18, officers with the Springdale Police Department worked with officers from Cayce Department of Public Safety to locate and arrest one of the individuals. Investigators have charged Keith D. Robinson (19 y/o) with armed robbery, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person.
