The Town of Springdale held its Third Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Monday. The informal event was held in the Springdale Town Park beside Town Hall. This year the Town’s Tree is at Town Hall. Last year it was at in front of Sox and Sons Construction.  While the tree lighting was informal, there were hot drinks and snacks and Christmas music in the background.

“People just like to get out for a sense of community,” said Springdale Mayor Michael Bishop. Town Administrator Jeff Stillwell flipped the switch to illuminate the tree. He said the tree is visible from either direction on Platt Springs Road.
