Gov. Henry McMaster was in West Columbia Tuesday where Spectrum announced a partnership that will bring 350 new jobs to the local facility. State Sen. Nikki Setzler and Lexington County Councilman Todd Cullum were on hand, too.

Spectrum is adding inbound sales representatives and management positions at its West Columbia call center. 

“Spectrum continues to demonstrate what more and more companies across the country are discovering every day: South Carolina is the right place to grow business,” said McMaster in a press release. “Spectrum’s continued ability to expand across our state shows that we are providing the business environment, infrastructure, and skilled workforce that businesses need.”

Inbound sales representatives work calls from potential and current Spectrum customers – interested in buying Spectrum services. 

The jobs are full-time and there are multiple shifts that offer base pay, lucrative commissions, and incentive opportunities. The jobs could pay up-to $80.000 annually, according to Spectrum.

There are currently more than 1,000 employees working at the West Columbia site that is next-to the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus. Spectrum, in its release, said the company is investing $2 million by 2023 to upgrade the facility at 3347 Platt Springs Road.
