Space heater fire causes damage to home
American Red Cross disaster-trained volunteers are assisting a family whose home, located on Big Valley Lane in Lexington, was damaged by a fire Sunday morning. Lexington County Fire Services responded to the blaze. The Red Cross is helping three people by providing financial assistance for food, clothing, lodging and other essentials, and comfort kits containing personal hygiene items.
The cause was determined to be the result of a space heater catching fire in the home.
