The concert started in the evening light, at 6 p.m. As the day turned from light to the night, Cayce Mayor Elise Partin described the scene as “stunning.”

Around the concert the Columbian Cuisine Food Truck served a line of customers and Art on State, across the street, hosted a crowd.

“It’s economic development through creativity,” Partin said of the concert. “It’s not only successful, it’s fun for all of us. And something we do well in Cayce.”

The concert series was part of the Invigorate Cayce effort, made possible through funding from the Central Carolina Community Foundation and ColaJazz.

A good atmosphere and a good feel surrounded the three he three concerts. “The concerts are so amazing, people want more,” Partin said.

The first concert featured the Reggie Sullivan Trio on Feb. 22, at the William J. Cayce Grocery Site. The second concert was March 1, at Kelley Jones Park, featuring the Iliana Rose Trio.
