Small Business of the Year presented to First Reliance Bank by the Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce
The Small Business of the Year was presented to First Reliance Bank by the Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Wednesday during the Chamber’s annual unGala. It was held at Stone River in West Columbia.
Throughout the last two years, First Reliance Bank has been highly involved with the Chamber. Nathan Ruth as branch manager of the West Columbia site first offered himself as an ambassador, and through this program he excelled in membership collaborations.
Brent Mackie, Market President was elected to the Board of Directors two years ago, and since that time he has volunteered himself for the Executive Committee, as well as establishing our Finance Audit Committee. Additionally, First Reliance Bank has been the sole sponsor of the Cohort Program, graduating more than 40 local professionals from the 8-week program, of which Brent Mackie is also an instructor.
Highlighting the volunteerism of the First Reliance staff would not be complete until recognizing the bright smile of Joanne Brady, the new branch manager of West Columbia- who is now a CWC Cohort graduate, as well as selected as class leader for the Alumni group and serves as an ambassador.
First Reliance Bank is a Chamber PaceSetter – and through its South Carolina leadership of Justin Strickland, the bank continues to provide support for the local businesses and members of the Chamber.
