Shots fired in Lexington related to social media argument
A shooting incident occurred in Lexington Monday, in the 300 block of Coventry Lakes Drive, according to Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the incident location in reference to a shots fired call. It is believed that an unknown vehicle drove by the residence and fired a weapon into the house.
Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim who stated that he had been having an ongoing social media dispute with another individual who he believed fired the weapon into the residence. Officers found evidence to support that there had been shots fired. No injuries have been reported in relation to the incident.
