1 A Christmas

“Love LOCAL” and find Great, and unique gift ideas in West Columbia

The Christmas shopping season is upon us and the merchants of West Columbia have their doors open with a wide variety of great and unique gifts. Cayce-West Columbia President and CEO Tim James also encourages you to shop local in support of small businesses.

“Keep your dollars here in your community instead of sending your money out of state,” James said. “Shop locally and support your neighbors.”

“We’re looking forward to a very busy shopping season before Christmas,” said Lainie Lewis of State Street Trading Co. She also stresses that shopping locally adds millions to the local economy and helps create jobs for you and your neighbors.

State Street Trading Co. has a special Merry “WECO” Christmas  tree ornament made of pewter for sale. “The ornaments sell very well,” Lewis said. “And this year we also have a WECO rocks glass with “The West is the Best” scripted on it.”

Other items at the shop include works from local artists of the iconic WECO sign on Meeting Street and the Gervais Street Bridge. State Street Trading Co. has women’s apparel, jewelry and  a rocks glass with a map of the City of West Columbia emblazoned on it, in addition to “29169” pillows. Glass Christmas trees are also selling well, Lewis said.
