Several crews responded to an apartment fire in West Columbia, Saturday.

The blaze erupted around 4 p.m. at Riverbend Apartments, at
800 N. Lucas St., off of Sunset Boulevard.

A firefighter, involved in the response, was taken to the hospital for evaluation, according to the West Columbia Fire Department. No one else was injured.

In addition to the WCFD, units from the Cayce Fire Department and Lexington County Fire Services came to fight the fire.
