One person has died after a crash on Old Dunbar Road, near Creekside Road. The collision occurred around 8:15 a.m., Tuesday, according to Master Trooper David Jones of the SC Highway Patrol.

A 2009 Honda, four-door, was turning left from Creekside Road, onto Old Dunbar Road, when it was struck by a 2001 Ford Fusion on the drivers side. The driver of the Honda died at the scene of the crash, Jones said. The driver of the Fusion was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

It is the second fatality on Old Dunbar Road in a three-day period. Mrs. Debra Lee Kittrell, 67, of West Columbia died in a vehicle versus tractor-trailer accident in the 1800 block of Old Dunbar Road in West Columbia shortly before 7 a.m. on Sunday.
