Beginning on Monday (July 29) the SCDOT will close Whippoorwill Drive at Sunset Boulevard (US 378) in West Columbia for pavement repairs. Whippoorwill is where the turn-in to Rush’s is. The project will include drainage system improvements and resurfacing.

SCDOT expects the work to be completed in August. A sign near the worksite indicates the work will be going on from 7-28 until 8-9.
Drivers are urged to stay alert and practice caution while travelling through the work zone.
