SC Indigenous Business Day at Mota Crosslinking Business Academy is a “resounding success”

The Mota Crosslinking Business Academy is thrilled to announce the resounding success of the 5th Annual SC Indigenous Business Day. This year’s event was particularly impactful, reaching more tribes than ever before and bringing Vanessa Mota, President of Mota Crosslinking Business Academy’s, vision of connecting, uniting, and diversifying MCBA’s vision to fruition.
We were honored to have a distinguished member of the SC State House of Representatives read the SC Proclamation for SC Indigenous Business Day, underscoring the significance of this celebration.

The event also honored several outstanding individuals with awards:

  • Business of the Year: Chief John Creel
  • Community Advocate: Butch Wallace
  • **Creative Business of the Year ** Barbara Morningstar Paul
  • Art Acknowledgement: Brooke Chavis

Attendees were also treated to an exhibition of indigenous pottery, art, and historical artifacts, providing a rich cultural experience and highlighting the diverse heritage of South Carolina’s indigenous communities. Photography by Anthony Milian of Amodestophoto, LLC.

It is a testament to the strength and resilience of our indigenous business community.”

The SC Indigenous Business Day continues to be a vital platform for recognizing the contributions of indigenous entrepreneurs and fostering a supportive environment for future growth.
