Savage Craft Ale Works to host Oktoberfest, featuring mayor, pumpkin beer, and live music

Savage Craft Ale Works will host Oktoberfest from 11:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Kickoff: Every year, the tapping ceremony in the Savage Craft Ale Works festival hall kicks off Oktoberfest. As tradition has it, at 12 noon on the first Saturday of the Oktoberfest, the mayor taps the first beer barrel and opens the Oktoberfest with the Bavarian exclamation “O’zapft is!” (“It’s tapped”).
