An emergency crew from the S.C. Department of Natural Resources is searching for a possible drowning victim in Lake Murray Sunday afternoon.

The S.C. DNR sent its dive team in response to the report of a male in the lake near the Lake Murray Marina, according to DNR spokesman Capt. Robert McCullough. The call came in around 1 p.m. The search is near Liberty (Tap Room Bar and Grill) on the Lake.

McCullough said the male was on the boat, and then in the water and hadn’t come up. More details were not immediately available.
By 3 p.m., crews had not found the person.
