Ryan Holt says he will challenge Rep. Rick Quinn for Dist. 69 House seat
State House Rep. Rick Quinn (R-Lexington) will have a challenger for is District 69 seat.
Ryan Holt, a Lexington attorney, has announced he will run for the District 69 seat now held by Quinn.
House District 69 includes parts of West Columbia. The district is based in Lexington and stretches to Irmo. Holt said he will run in the Republican primary in June 2016.
Holt serves on the board of directors of Lexington Medical Center and is a member of the Rotary Club of Lexington and the Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitor’s Center. He and his wife, Jill, are active members of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.
Quinn, who was born in 1965, was first elected to the House at age 23 in Richland County. He served as House Majority Leader from 1999-2004. He was elected to the House again, as a Lexington County resident, in 2010.
