Royce Shannon, Dominion Energy’s director of electric operations, spoke at the Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast Tuesday. He talked about how Dominion Energy delivers power to homes and businesses.

Shannon said the most-frequent reason for power outages was fallen trees. He also said repair crews work to isolate line breaks to the smallest circuit possible to decrease the number of customers without power.

Shannon also encouraged Dominion customers to get the Dominion App on their phones in order to report service interruptions.
