Ribbon is cut for “Bark West Dog Park” in West Columbia

The ribbon was cut, Thursday, for the “Bark West Dog Park” off of Augusta Road. 1940 Augusta Road, West Columbia.

Randy and Saradean Hallman donated land

The park includes an activity course and places to sit, stay, and play. The unleashed dog park includes areas designated for small and large dogs. It’s open from Sunrise to Sunset and requires registration.

West Columbia Mayor said there’s been a lot of interest in the dog park since its construction announced. “It’s a place for dogs to play in a safe environment,” Miles said. The mayor brought his dog, Pepe with him for the park’s opening.

Randy and Saradean Hallman donated property for the dog park. The Hallmans are dog lovers and have a dog named “Buddy” who was on hand for the ribbon-cutting.

Van crest Animal Hospital also donated equipment for the dog park.
