The ribbon was cut at The Tackle Box at 743 Meeting St. in West Columbia, Thursday.

Tim James, president of the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber said it’s in a well-known location where a business has been operating for the last 50 years. West Columbia City Councilman David Moye said The Tackle Box helps maintain the authenticity of the neighborhood.

Tackle Box owners are: Chad Fuller; Chase “Ox” Durney and Trip Turbyfill.

The Tackle Box sells fish bait, including: crickets; cut bait; live minnows and herring (for striper fishing.) Tackle Box Bait and Tackle has cold beer (can or draft) and wine. There’s also pool, a jukebox, games, 5 TVs and more.
