Retiring Lexington 2 Supt. Dr. Bill James honored
A crowd of friends, colleagues and family came to honor Lexington Two School Superintendent Dr. Bill James, Tuesday, upon his retirement.
James was given a Resolution from the SC Senate and the SC House. It was sponsored by Sen. Nikki Setzler and Rep. Micah Caskey. (Photo: Cayce Mayor Elise Partin hands the Resolution to James.)
James mentioned the loss of his parents and the loss of his wife’s parents over the last five years while he was with Lexington Two. He said the people of the district have been with him for his best and worst days.
“You have had a real impact on me,” James said, becoming emotional as he spoke.
Others speaking during the reception at the Lexington Two Innovation Center in Cayce were Lexington Two Board Chairwoman Christina Rucker, Caskey and Don Icenhower, the district’s chief operations officer. Dr. Nicholas Wade is the incoming Lexington Two Superintendent.
