The SC Department of Transportation was repainting road lines Lexington intersections, Tuesday. The road striping was going on, on Sunset Boulevard (US-378) in Lexington between North Lake Drive (SC-6) to I-20 . The painting was causing lane closures for both inbound and outbound traffic.

Work was being done at one intersection at a time and it affected local traffic on Sunset Boulevard close to the work area.
The Lexington Police Department said the work is done during daytime hours, because the paint striping has to cure within a certain temperature range. Nighttime temperatures fall outside of the needed range. LPD photo.
