Hurricane Dorian has passed and Lexington Two schools are operating on a normal schedule Friday. The forecast for Friday is sunny, with a high of 95 degrees.

S.C. Public Safety director Leroy Smith said there were no deaths reported from the storm.

In the West-Metro section of Lexington County- including Cayce and West Columbia and Springdale, the wind gusts were up-to 31 mph, according to the National Weather Service-Columbia. There was some rain, but not a large amount.

Gov. Henry McMaster, on Thursday, lifted the mandatory coastal evacuation for the counties of Beaufort, Jasper, and Colleton. Residents of five other counties are waiting.

There were 441,000 people evacuated the coast, said SCDOT Director Christy Hall. That is close to 53 percent of the residents 830,000 who were under the evacuation order.

The worst of the storm: The National Weather Service reported that parts of Pawleys Island got 9 inches of rain, while 8 inches of rain was reported in Myrtle Beach. Two tornadoes were confirmed in the Myrtle Beach area. About 250,000 people lost power.
