The City of West Columbia’s Public Works, Police Department, and Fire Department will hold a joint recycling day at City Hall on Saturday (Oct. 27) from 8 a.m. until Noon.

The City will be collecting recyclable garbage items, prescription drugs, as part of the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, and documents that will be shredded with a shred truck on site.

The following items can be recycled: electronics, paint, batteries, tires, used oil, appliances, scrap metal, and aluminum cans.
All metal and aluminum items that can be recycled for this event will be donated to the South Carolina Burned Children’s Fund.
