Elected officials and past Cayce-West Columbia Chamber Board leaders came out to salute Tim James, outgoing Cayce-West Columbia Chamber President and CEO. He became Chamber President and CEO in the summer of 2020, in the middle of the Covid shutdown. The reception was held at The Armory at Savage Craft Ale Works.

James said he loved every second of his tenure as President and CEO . “It has been a heart thing,” he said. “We faced the challenges and came out much, much better on the other side.”
He also said he was proud the Chamber became accredited under his leadership, and he said “I want you to be proud that you are a member of the Cayce-West Columbia Chamber and “it has been a Godsend to be able to lead this community.”

Current Board Chairman JB Beckett said James has had a Profound impact on our community.

State Sen. Russell Ott said James’: Work ethic is unmatched and he follows up and makes you feel appreciated.

State Rep. Micah Caskey said James: “built the chamber into a powerhouse.”

Former Chamber Board Chairwoman Lindsey Miles said: The Chamber was awarded several accolades because of James’ leadership.

Former Chamber Board  Chairman Thomas Tafel said: James took the Chamber to the next level.

Former Chairwoman Haley Bowers said: The Chamber continues to grow and thrive because of Jame’s dedication and leadership.

South Congaree Mayor Cindy Campbell said no one has inspired her as much as James, She praised his leadership, vision, energy, motivation and influence.

Lexington Chamber President and CEO Angelle LaBorde: The selection of the C-WC Chamber as “Chamber of the Year” was a huge accomplishment.

Lexington County Councilman and Vice-Chairman Todd Cockrell said: James helped build a better community and he learned from James. 

Current Chamber President and CEO Tony Tam said James: left the Chamber in great position and Tim has a special place in my heart.

Former State Senator Nikki Setzler also attended the reception.
